Nominations for citizens was fielded by the Randolph Society Foundation to honor outstanding historical citizens of Randolph County. At the ceremony, held February 28th, NSDAR Liberty Bell of the West Members Julie Gangloff presented John Willis Menard, the first African-American to be elected to the US House of Representatives, and Peg Fulton presented the award for the Hunter Brothers, aviators of Hunter Field fame.
