Chapter Members of National Society Daughters of the American Revolution has Proclamation of November as American Indian Month at Randolph County Commissioners meeting on Friday November 20th.
National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Liberty Bell of the West Chapter members donated a Christmas wreath to the Anna Veteran's Home. Member Sheila Alms designed the wreath with such words as Faith, Strength, Humility, Optimism and Pride to represent:
1. Their Faith in God 2. Their Love for each other 3. Their Strength, work ethic and character 4. Their Honesty and integrity 5. Their Humility, selflessness and modesty 6. Their Ambitions and aspirations 7. Their Optimism for America 8. Their Concern for the future 9. Their Pride in their duties 10. Their Hopes and Dreams that didn't always come true but left them with no regrets. Angela Simmons, Anna Veterans' Home Administrator, accepted the wreath and prominently displayed it in the main entry of the Anna Veterans' Home. National Society Daughters of the American Revolution co-hosted Revolutionary War Patriot Millington Couch ceremony on Saturday November 14th in Preston IL. National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Liberty Bell of the West Chapter attended the District VII meeting in Marion on October 28th. Liberty Bell of the West's most recent service project at Kaskaskia Island was highlighted as part of the program for the district meeting. Chapter members welcomed nearly 100 members from District VII as co-hosting chapter at Kokopelli Country Club.
