Dorothy Karsten honored as iL State outstanding veteran volunteer

National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Liberty Bell of the West Chapter's Regent Joan Montroy is proud to present our chapter Chaplain Dorothy Karsten with notification that she will be awarded as Illinois State Outstanding DAR Veteran Volunteer. Ms. Karsten will receive her certificate at NSDAR's state conference in Bloomington IL in the spring.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Liberty Bell of the West Chapter recently recognized member Peg Fulton. This year, Fulton has been a member of the chapter for 10 years. She has served in various officer positions of service within the Chapter and is currently acting as Liberty Bell of the West Chapter parliamentarian. Pictured is Julie Tieman presenting Fulton with a certificate recognizing her years of membership with the chapter.

Emily Lyons recognized for service to community

National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Liberty Bell of the West Chapter has 43 members in our chapter, and 14 of our members recorded 2,018 service hours with our Online Tally for the year of 2015.  
Emily Lyons recorded 963 hours of community service for our chapter’s online tally. At NSDAR Liberty Bell of the West Chapter's  recent meeting Regent Joan Montroy presented an award certificate to Emily in recognition of her many hours of community service from which we all benefit. 
Emily Jean Bauman Lyons continues to serve through her work with NSDAR as well as through her affiliations with her many other city, county, state and national associations.

Theresa Albers, Sheila Alms, Jill Asbury, Linda Daniels, Jeanette Decker, Carolyn Dorf, Lori Hill, Dorothy Karsten, Shanti Kennedy, Emily Lyons, Carol Mayer, Joan Montroy, Elizabeth Partington, and Debra Uchtman.
